What is a Traineeship?
Preparing young people for work and their future careers through work experience incorporated into education and training. A Traineeship is a unique way to get young people ready for the working world ahead. Traineeships are aimed at people who are 16 – 24.
What will I learn?
The Traineeship opportunity includes work preparation training, maths and English support for those who require it and a high quality work experience placement. This Traineeship is unwaged and only available to you if you have lower than level 3 education. As a part of your work placement, you will be required to shadow and assist in the delivery of sports instruction to children.
Aimed at those who have perhaps been unsuccessful when applying for apprenticeships or haven’t made it past the interview stage for a job. Depending on the flexibility and working hours of the employer, our scheme works over a 5-day week. Generally, this comprises of both classroom-based upskilling as well all work experience alongside one of our established employers. If you are not chosen for an interview or are unsuccessful, we will continue to support you in finding employment over the next 6 months!
